The events and properties that you define under this list will be considered as the top events and properties of the project and will be tracked frequently. What you can do with Top events and properties:

  • You can track upto 50 events and user properties while analysing Factors

  • Your Goals should be comprised of these data points

  • Please note that it may take a few days for us to index newly added data points in your queries

  • Apart from these, all your active campaigns will be tracked.

Let’s understand how to define top events and properties on Factors:

Step 1: Login to the Factors website and click on ‘Configure’ from the menu on the left side of your screen. Under the dropdown, click on ‘Top Events and Properties’.

Step 2: Under the Events section, click on the ‘+’ icon to add the events that you would like Factors to track actively. You can choose from a wide list of events from the dropdown menu as shown below. In this case, we have selected ‘Schedule a demo form’ as a top event.

Also, note that top events you choose here will be listed down in the ‘Explain’ section that will eliminate the additional effort to choose from a long list of events, allowing you an option to track only those events that matter. Here’s is an example of the same - As we select ‘Sign up’ in the Top Events and Properties section, the same will be listed under the ‘Explain’ section :

Step 3: Again click on the ‘+’ icon to add the user properties that you would like Factors to track actively. You can choose the user properties from a variety of options like User ID, Email ID, Browser Version, Country, Initial Page URL,etc. under the dropdown menu.

And that’s it, you are all done. These top events and properties will now also be reflecting under the Explain section on Factors.
