Weekly reports allow you to automate tracking key metrics marketing metrics across platforms such as your website, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and advertising platforms [LinkedIn, Google, and others].

With weekly reports you can set specific criteria for receiving notifications, such as changes in ad spend exceeding a predetermined percentage, changes in weekly website visitors, or leads generated from campaigns.

You can define the period of comparison, typically on a week-to-week basis, to assess if there's a significant deviation (e.g., more than 10%) from the previous week's figures. This setup aims to provide actionable insights without the need for constant manual checking.

Notifications can be set up to be delivered through email or Slack/Teams, offering convenience and immediate access to critical data.

How to set up weekly reporting in Factors

  • Navigate to the ‘Automations’ tab in the navigation bar and click on ‘Weekly updates’

  • To get started, click on ‘New alert’

  • Now give your alert a name based on the KPI you’re planning to track and then select a KPI by clicking on ‘Add a KPI’

For example

I want to be notified on an upwards deviation of Google ADs spend by 10% week over week. I go to the drop down menu and select Google ADs -> Spends.

  • Now I select an ‘Operator’ from the drop down menu. In our case its ‘% has increased by more than.’ But there are other operators like ‘less than,’ ‘equal to,’ and increased by more than.’

  • I also selected the time period of ‘weekly’ — but you can choose ‘monthly’ or ‘quarterly’ based on your needs.

  • Once selected, you can choose a way to be notified — either on Slack, Teams or email.

And bam, you’re set.

Rinse and repeat the process to making weekly reports for the other metrics you care about.

For example:

  1. Change in average page view time

  2. Number of form submissions

  3. Impressions on LinkedIn ads

  4. Position of selected keywords on Google Search
