If you are already using a CDP like Segment or Rudderstack, you can just send your website data to Factors using one of these platforms directly. Follow the steps below to complete this method:

  • Select the CDP of your choice. Then, copy the API key for that CDP from the onboarding screen.

  • Then, login to your CDP and add Factors as a destination. Need help with this step? Here is a quick guide to add Factors as a destination in Segment and Rudderstack.

  • Paste the API key you copied in step 1. into your CDP connection.

  • You can now choose the data sources you wish to send into Factors. You need to send website events data for Factors to identify accounts and track their activity.

How is Factors SDK different from the usual marketing tags?

  1. Unlike GA, Factors' SDK captures page time spent and avg. session duration metric accurately. Factors' SDK looks for active engagement on the webpage like cursor movements to track time spent and hence doesn't consider idle time on the web page as part of the time spent.

  2. Unlike GA, Factors doesn't sample data in any way for higher data volume. Hence you have access to the accurate nos inside Factors.

Which pages should I place the Factors SDK on?

On any webpage (owned by your organisation) where your prospects interact with your brand and content or fills out a form:

  • Website

  • Blogs, webinars, case studies or any other resource pages including the ones hosted on 3rd party CMS like WordPress, Hubspot Blogs, etc.

  • Sign up or login pages including the one hosted on the product app.

  • Pages where lead gen, content forms, and any type of inbound forms are hosted.

  • Landing pages including the ones hosted on 3rd party CMS like WordPress, Hubspot Blogs, etc or landing page builders like Instapage, Wix, Leadpages, etc.

How long does it take for the Factors Website SDK data to show data after placing the SDK successfully?

After placing the SDK successfully in the <head> section of your website, we will start pulling in data immediately and your reports and dashboards will start getting populated with data within 2-10 mins.
