How long does it take to integrate Factors?

For website deanonymization, you’ll have to only place the Factors SDK on your website. Placing Factors SDK on your website takes anywhere from 2 to 5 mins depending on how you place it- using Google Tag Manager, directly on the website using web dev help, or using a CMS like WordPress, etc.

How long does it take for the Factors Website Deanonymization data to show up inside Factors?

Upto 15 mins for the first time and then real-time. Note that Factors team has to enable “Website Deanonymization” for your account and hence there might be a delay in you placing the SDK on your website and seeing anonymized accounts data.

What kind of customer support should I expect?

Can Factors pull in historical data? If yes, for how much back into the past?

Website Data (using Factors SDK)- No, we can’t pull your historical website data as our SDK wasn’t there on the website then. We can collect website data only after you place it on your website.

Can website visitor tracking tell you who (with email ID or phone no.) exactly visited a website?

No. It is not possible to provide (at least with the current GDPR or other data compliance laws) to provide the email IDs or phone nos of website visitors that do not fill out a form. We can, however, identify the companies they come from and their firmographic features.

Can Factors identify companies that operate working from home?

  • As working from home becomes increasingly common, this is an important question to address. In cases where office space IP addresses aren’t associated with visitors, Factors uses the following strategies to ensure accuracy

  • 1: Use multiple commercially available databases in combination with proprietary first-party data to match remote users accurately to their company accounts.

  • 2: Fine-tune ML algorithms to learn about WFH behaviour and adjust for geography, reopening plans, and several other signals.

Does Factors SDK slows down my website?

No, because Factors's SDK is an asynchronous SDK which means the loading of the SDK doesn't hinder the loading of other elements on the website or the other SDKs. On top of that, the size of SDK is just 22Kbs. This is one of the lightest marketing tags you would ever come across. Also, the load time of Factors's SDK is less than 10ms for the first time load, and less than 5ms for consecutive loads.

What all use cases does Factors deanonymization open up?

What is the size of the company database you use for deanonymisation?

48M companies are tracked across 200 countries, and 4.7B IPs are mapped and tracked.

What is the size of the database and enrichment rates by country, industry, company size?

48M companies are contained within the database with nearly 5B IPs being tracked. Enrichment rates by country, industry, and company size vary depending on the market, vertical, company size, etc. We do not have detailed match rate results by country, industry or company size but our overall average match rates globally are usually between 50-65% with a very high level of accuracy.

How do you collect this data?

We are an OEM partner of 6sense which has an extensive network of data partnerships that help to populate their firmographic database, these are not shared publicly. These combined with customer instances help to increase, improve and validate the accuracy and volume of the database. 6Sense has been constantly expanding and improving its database over the last 10 years.

How much of the data is first-party? How much is 3rd party?

The 6signal IP2Company Match Graph is fueled by a database of nearly 5B IP addresses. The IPs are constantly tracked and mapped to ensure the highest level of accuracy for customers. Additionally, 6sense uses IP, device ID and in some cases cookies to validate the company information which enables us to identify companies regardless of the location of the visitor/IP.

Please see 6Sense's CTO and co-founder, Viral Bajaria's blog post for more information on this point. As far as the percentages of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data contained within their platform, 6Sense platform analyzes billions of 2nd and 3rd party data points and works in tandem with their customer's 1st party data (CRM, MAP, ad networks) to aggregate the data into actionable insights (intent).

How do you manage the database if people are working from home?

For managing the challenges of remote work, our deanonymisation partner 6Signal utilizes its patented Company Graph, which not only analyzes new data and maps new IP addresses to the appropriate work accounts but also incorporates secondary marker information like mobile advertising IDs. This additional data helps triangulate data connections, particularly in situations where IP addresses vary due to remote work locations. By combining multiple data points, including associations between devices, IP addresses, and secondary markers, 6Signal ensures a comprehensive understanding of the connection between traffic and specific accounts. This enables accurate targeting for account-based sales and marketing programs, even in a remote work environment.

6Sense's CTO and co-founder, Viral Bajaria, wrote a blog regarding the shift to work from home, the link to this blog post can be found here.

Does Visitor Identification work even with VPNs?

There are essentially two kinds of VPNs an employee could be using:

  1. A Corporate VPN- Some companies require their employees to use a corporate VPN for which they have to log in with their credentials. In such a case Visitor Identification works well.

  2. A Personal VPN- If a person is using a personal VPN, then Visitor Identification might not be as accurate. Note- This is less likely to happen for a work device.
