Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

With Factors, you can create customizable dashboards that provide a real-time view of your company's key metrics. These dashboards can display data from various domains, such as website traffic, sales, and customer engagement, all in one place. By having this information at your fingertips, you can quickly identify areas that need improvement and make data-driven decisions.

Each dashboard is a collection of reports you can build inside Factors, displayed as widgets for quick consumption.

Building your first dashboard

  1. You can find Dashboards in the top navigation bar to get started.

  2. Once you select this tab, you can choose to create a template from scratch or use one of our many templates by clicking on 'New Dashboard' on the bottom left of the left navigation bar.

  3. We recommend starting with a template, all our templates can fine tuned to your liking.

  4. Once you select a template, you’ll be able to see the types of reports you can expect to see in the dashboard. To add this template, just click on Copy this dashboard.

  5. Your new Dashboard is now ready. Note - for some widgets, you may need to complete the relevant integration first before you can copy the dashboard into your project.

Navigating a dashboard

Once you have created dashboard(s) inside Factors, you can switch between different dashboards through the left navigation bar, by searching for the dashboard name, or by scrolling through the list of dashboards.

You can change the date range for which you wish to see the data by changing the time period from the dropdown as shown below:

You can also resize and move widgets inside the Dashboard. To move a widget, just click and drag it to wherever you want. To resize a widget, use the arrow keys at the side of the widget.

Changing reports inside a dashboard

Each of the widgets inside a dashboard show data for a specific report that has been built using Factors’ Query Builder. You can click on any of the widgets inside a dashboard to open up the Query Builder.

On clicking expand, you can see how this report has been made using the Query builder. Here, you can edit the report, 'run analysis', and save the updated report if you'd like to make changes to the templated report.

Adding new reports to the Dashboard

To add a new report to an existing dashboard, just click on + New Report at the top right of a dashboard.

You can choose to build a new report of a variety of types, or you can select from a set of Saved Reports that you have previously created by selecting 'add from draft'.

You can do a lot with Dashboards inside Factors. From creating a Dashboard to track your weekly Ad Spends to assessing your Website Traffic, you can do it all through Dashboard templates and a powerful Query Builder.
